The final rounds of the 13th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition (TICC) was held Saturday 27 September. The Erinys Quartet won the competition with festival engagements and 15 000 €.
These are the results after a thrilling Final in the lovely Freemason Hall where Erinys Quartet. Motus Quartet and Absalon String Quartet met:

2nd Prize, 10 000 EURO: Absalon String Quartet
3rd Prize, 5 000 EURO: Motus Quartet
Commission Prize, 250 EURO: Motus Quartet
Audience Prize: Absalon String Quartet
Jury Special Prize: Motus Quartet
At the Final, the string quartets performed music by Schubert and Beethoven, in addition to the commissioned work "A Pastoral Elegy" by Ståle Kleiberg.
Cash prizes of more than 300,000 NOK and concert engagements was awarded to the winners in addition to a print by the artist Eigil Nordstrøm.
The Commission Prize was given for the best interpretation of the premiere performance of "A Pastoral Elegy" by Ståle Kleiberg. The commissioned work is supported by the Composers' Fund. The composer was present and thanked the quartets for their interpretations of the piece.
The audience cast their personal vote on who will return as a festival artist at the Trondheim Chamber Music Festival in 2026, and the Audience Prize 2025 went to Absalon String Quartet.
The jury had a tough task, the performances were consistently of a high standard.
