TICC invites high level youth ensembles based in Norway to participate at concerts, seminars and master classes. Our goal is to inspire and develop young ensembles. The program is supported by Talent Trondheim and ASAF.
Sognare is an ambitious string quartet that has been playing together for four years (with one new member in 2024). All four are attending the talent program in the music department at Edvard Munch Secondary School. Over the past year, the quartet has won first prize in its class at both the Midgard Competition and the Youth Music Championship Norway (UMM). The quartet has also performed on major stages such as Oslo Concert Hall and a number of festivals such as the Horten Chamber Music Festival. Sognare has also participated in master classes with, among others, Vertavo Quartet and Brooklyn Rider. The quartet is continuously working to explore both the classical quartet repertoire and newer music, and has a strong commitment to bringing chamber music to a wide audience.
Sognare Quartet consists of Severin Juhl Evertsen Neumer, Tora Elvida Yngvedatter Røynesdal, Sofia Bang Aarland and Peder Kjerkreit.
